DESCRIPTION
The seven Volvo Ocean 65 completed the final leg of the Race on Sunday in The Hague, which also marked the end of this edition of the Volvo Ocean Race. By crossing the finish line in first place, Charles Caudrelier led Dongfeng Race Team to overall victory: it was the first leg win for the team and it couldn't have come at a better time, as the result of this leg was crucial to determine the winner of the trophy. With three boats on even points at the top of the scoreboard before the leg started, all eyes were on the leaders: MAPFRE, Donfeng Race Team and Team Brunel. All seven boats delivered great sailing and gave it all in this short but extremely demanding leg that saw plenty of action on deck and very little sleep for the crews.

This week we cover:
-The unfolding of the fight that lead Dongfeng Race Team to victory
-MAPFRE’s come back to first place after a bad start forced them to leave Gothenburg at the back of the fleet
-The spectacular fly-by in the harbour of Aarhus, Denmark
-The east/west split of the fleet in the final approach that eventually determined the race result
-Dutch team AkzoNobel finishing in home waters in a well deserved second place
